HSA Western Australia Chapter Inauguration

Join us on the 14th of December in Perth, in person, for the inauguration of the HSA Western Australia Chapter, hear a presentation by David Cavanagh discussing the COP28 Initiatives, enjoy an end-of-year HSA networking celebration in Perth, and raise a glass to achievements in the past twelve months.

Event Info: 

The Hydrogen Society of Australia (HSA) is healthy and is growing thanks to the contributions of volunteers who are passionate about the role that we can play in the transition of Australia to cleaner energy sooner than later. The HSA Chapters in New South Wales, Victoria, and Western Australia are now real, and their committees are actively working together. In the near future, they will be joined by new HSA Chapters in South Australia and Queensland. A lot is happening in these states already, and we are eager to collaborate together under a national HSA banner.

The inaugural event for the WA Chapter will take place on Thursday 14 December from 4:00pm to 6:00pm AWST. This event will celebrate the overarching achievements of our national society over the last twelve months, and outline the proposed initiatives of the WA Chapter moving forward. We will also raise a glass to our WA Chapter Leader (Furat Dawood) who has recently received his PhD award. We will also take this opportunity to get a debrief on the COP28 outcomes from David Cavanagh (Integrated Energy) who has just returned from the Dubai conference and will be joining the WA Chapter Committee.

The event will take place in the vicinity of Barrack Street and the Esplanade with further information to follow.

This event will feature:

• Introduction to the WA Chapter Committee members by Prof. Adam Osseiran, HSA President;
• Outline of the Chapter’s program for the first half of 2024 by Dr. Furat Dawood, HSA Steering Committee and WA Chapter Lead;
• Presentation on the COP28 Initiative and insights from personal attendance by David Cavangh, Managing Director Integrated Energy, WA Chapter Committee Member,
• QnA session with Dr. Furat Dawood and David Cavanagh, moderated by Lorie Jones, HSA Vice-President,
• Networking session over refreshments, light nibbles, and a festive end-of-year atmosphere, and
• Opportunities to learn how you can be involved with the HSA Western Australia Chapter.
