Founding members are:

• Andrew McCluskey – Regional GM for WA, VIC, SA and TAS at Siemens Ltd
• Innovate Australia (represented by Peter Kasprzak and Dr Adam Osseiran)
The Hydrogen Society of Australia, which was initiated by Innovate Australia in January 2018 as an interest group, is now being officially relaunched as a national association.
Hydrogen Society of Australia is dedicated to promoting the significance of hydrogen as a clean fuel and energy storage solution, increasing the visibility and use of hydrogen, compiling and disseminating hydrogen industry information, fostering collaboration between stakeholders, developing effective strategic policies and initiatives to positively influence the political process, engaging all levels of government, as well as scientists, academics, business community and general public, fostering international collaboration to drive the global growth of the hydrogen sector, and organising a wide range of hydrogen related events and demonstration projects.
