Mike Houlahan is Horizon Power’s Chief Financial Officer and leads the Finance and Corporate Services division, holding responsibility for finance, corporate strategy, environmental sustainability, procurement and supply chain portfolios.

Under Mike’s leadership, the teams are embracing the growing involvement of customers in a distributed energy system which include not only solar and traditional energy storage, but electric vehicles and their infrastructure.

  Horizon Power is delivering a Hydrogen Demonstration Project in Denham in Western Australia, to test if renewable hydrogen energy can be used to produce baseload power in a remote microgrid.

The project is an opportunity to establish how microgrids globally can be migrated to hydrogen and potentially 100% renewable energy supply, at lower economic cost than current diesel-based generation.
