Join us for the module 10th module of the H2 World series featuring a presentation by J-Power’s Non-Executive Director, Jeremy Stone. In this presentation, Jeremy Stone will speak on the hydrogen energy supply chain and J-Power’s project for creating carbon-neutral hydrogen. J-Power’s production and transportation of carbon-neutral hydrogen made from coal and biomass combined with carbon capture and storage will be explored in detail. This presentation will also give unique insights into the Japan-Australia hydrogen supply chain relationship that J-Power has been building. A world-first project, and exciting progress for the hydrogen space.

Jeremy Stone

Non-Executive Director, J-Power Latrobe Valley

Jeremy is a Non-Executive Director, global executive and advisor with over 30 years of experience leading businesses and in the delivery of major infrastructure projects.

He has held a variety of positions, including Regional Director for Asia and Group Manager of Innovation & Digital for a 10,000 strong global professional services company.

He lived and worked in Asia and the UK for 14 years and has also delivered projects in the US, Middle East, Australia and China. He is a Director of the Australian subsidiary of J-Power, one of Japan’s largest utility companies and part of the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) consortia.

J-Power

J-POWER is one of Japan’s largest utility companies with a combined generation capacity of some 25GW, made up of about 50% renewables in Japan.

Globally they are investing in a range of clean energy projects, including wind, solar, pumped hydro, biomass and hydrogen.

J-POWER’s main focus for the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) project is coal gasification, refining and carbon capture and has established J-POWER Latrobe Valley to implement the project.
