Hydrogen Society of Australia presents

Australia’s 4th Annual National Hydrogen Day Celebration – 2022

Description

Australia Hydrogen Day 2022

Event Overview

The Hydrogen Society of Australia (HSA), in collaboration with Murdoch University, celebrated the 4th Australia Hydrogen Day 2022 (AHD22) on Saturday the 8th of October 2022, at Murdoch University, South Street, Murdoch. The event was also broadcasted live from Perth to other states.

The National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day was created by the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA) six years ago. This day is celebrated in the United States to help raise awareness of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies. The United States Senate passed Senate Resolution 720, declaring the 8th of October, 2020, National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day for the United States. The 8th of October (10.08) was chosen in reference to the atomic weight of Hydrogen.

The Hydrogen Society of Australia (HSA) (not for profit) has brought and celebrated this event in Australia on the 8th of October 2019 as the first (Inter)National Hydrogen Day, with the support of the FCHEA, followed by Hydrogen Day 2020 and 2021 which brought a lot of support from various industries and the public.

This event engaged university students, industry, academics, and government officials. Speakers from government, industry, research organisations, and students outlined the status and future strategy for the hydrogen industry. This was an exciting opportunity to share ideas, present your organisation’s strengths and achievements in the hydrogen space, and discuss renewable hydrogen energy science and technologies when local and Federal policy directions are more promising than ever.

The 4th Australia Hydrogen Day also hosted an exhibition of hydrogen industry and hub developments, research projects, and a hydrogen-themed students’ poster competition to facilitate research, engagement, and collaboration. The results of the poster competition and posters can be viewed here: LINK COMING SOON.

We thank our sponsors for their support and help in bringing the 4th Australian Hydrogen Day Celebration together.
