Competition Guidelines
The 4th Australia Hydrogen Day also hosted an exhibition of hydrogen industry and hubs developments, research projects, and a Hydrogen-themed students’ poster competition to facilitate engagement and collaboration. The student poster competition was at the university level but separated into undergraduate and postgraduate groups. All participants were granted a free full-year HSA membership, which enables them to attend the HSA events for free and access the material and records within the HSA members portal.
There were three prizes of $300, $200, and $100 for selected posters by the judging panel for each group.
- Posters must be Hydrogen related topics and titles.
- Describe the context of your hydrogen research project (ie. undergraduate research, post graduate research or internship project)
- Clarify the objectives of your research/project
- Provide a vision for the future of hydrogen, and how your research/project will contribute
- Design a visually attractive poster, using photographs, diagrams or other illustration
The poster competition presentation was lead by HSA Steering Committee Member, Ghazal Avijegon.
Ghazal Avijegon is an experienced Hydrogen Business Development and technical management professional offering demonstrated reco
rd of achievement in Hydrogen value chain, coupled with a strong academic background. Ghazal has a PhD from UWA, with a thesis on CO2 capture from natural gas using adsorption technology along with a postgrad qualification in Environmental Assessment and Management.
Ghazal has been involved in hydrogen projects as part of Woodside-Monash Energy Partnership with experience in H2 liquefaction, storage and transportation, including tank design, boil-off gas management as well as economic and energy intensity aspects of hydrogen value chain. Ghazal is a member of the Steering Committee of Hydrogen Society of Australia (HSA) and a strong advocate of clean energy and sustainable energy transition.
