CO2CRC’s CEO, Dr. Matthias Raab speaks on large volume hydrogen storage solutions, delivering a holistic view on current practices and future opportunities for Underground Hydrogen Storage (UHS). Dr. Raab discusses storage solutions demands within the present and future hydrogen industry, outlining in detail the current practices of UHS such as Salt Caverns, Depleted fields and Aquifers. Giving particular attention to the Australian environment, options and solutions for the Australian landscape are explored including their technical and policy implications. His presentation goes on to offer insight into the future of underground storage to provide effective, competitive storage solutions that could support Australia in becoming the largest hydrogen exporter.
