The McGowan Government is investigating the implementation of a Renewable Hydrogen
Target in Western Australia – the lack of which has, until now, held back investment in the space.
This approach would set targets for retailers in the Southwest Interconnected System (WA’s
main electricity grid) to procure a certain percentage of electricity fuelled by renewable
hydrogen.
